As we discussed earlier Google Buzz aims Facebook and Twitter. It is not easy to overcome the challenge by these top popular social networking sites. Google really need to put that extra effort to win this game. The main advantage of Twitter is that it is not just a simple social networking site but also a good solution for business community. Unless Google aims this section, it will be hard for them to take on business customers. During the official announcement, Google team confirmed that they are working on an enterprise edition of Google Buzz. According to Bradely Horowitz, Vice President of Google’s product management that the enterprise edition will hit the road soon. However he refused to quote a date.
Google wants to prove that it is an alternative to the business user where Microsoft is reigning. This is in line with heated rivalry with Microsoft. This can be seen as a part of launching Google Chrome OS, which is likely to take over Windows Operating system. The plan of enterprise edition is unavoidable as most reputed companies has presence in Facebook or Twitter. Google buzz certainly have an edge as Buzz is Gmail based and most business environments are making benefits of Gmail.
