Many might like the innovations from google as well as its free services which offer unmatched quality rivaling paid products. But ofcourse there are some of us, who are always concerned about how much of our private information google already posseses. So it wouldn’t be a pleasant surprise for many who find their contact in gmail being shared with authors without their consent.
Most have the googles services in the past have been opt in, while google buzz seems to have taken that liberty unasked. Google Buzz will automatically make all the people whom you frequently contact to automatically follow you , ie posts updates on a public profile page.
To avoid this this problem login into your google account and then go to your google profile. Find out the links which read “Following aaa people" and "aaa people following me." And underneath there is a small note specifying if they are visible to only you or everybody. In the latter case , find and click the "Edit Profile" and inside you can find a list named "Display the list of people I'm following and people following me." To make your list of people private, remove the tick mark in the box.
To fully dump buzz, login into gmail and go to bottom of page, to look for a link to turn off buzz completely.
