The Lucid Lynx Alpha 1, the alpha release of Ubuntu 10.04 which will be released on 29 April 2010 as a stable version. This release onwards Ubuntu has switched from google to yahoo as the default search provider in the Mozilla firefox web browser.
As per reports Canonical have signed a deal with Yahoo which will enable them to share the revenue which Yahoo earns from the yahoo search. This deal will generate income for Canonical which will enable them to support infrastructure required to build and develop Ubuntu.
This is just a defaut search provider changes made to firefox which we can change at a later stage as per our like and need, if we chose Google we will get Google start page and if we use Yahoo we will get Yahoo start page.
