The search deal between ms and yahoo, which is being considered by the European union, is in the final stages, with the union having given a final deadline to itself for making a decision on the matter. It is widely expected that the deal will be approved by the union, under which the search business of yahoo will be taken over by Microsoft.

MS and yahoo have planned to make a deal for 10 years with which , Microsoft will have access to all the search feature of yahoo search and other yahoo products / services, according to their announcement.

The present look of yahoo will still be kept as such and there will means to personalize the experience , but the technology which works under the hood will be that of Microsoft’s bing search engine. This essentially meant the joint of 2nd and 3rd global search engines.
