Two of the worlds largets companies merging to form the meego !

Nokia and intel have merged maemo and moblin to create a software to support multiple hardware devices like pc tablets, netbooks, tvs, in car entertainment systems. Intel is the largest chip maker while Nokia is the largest phone maker, both had announced their collaboration in june 2009.
The devices supporting meego will be launched by end of the year ..

Nokia will give this software for free but will earn via application sales developed for meego.
Meego an open source software is supposed to compete with chrome, android and ubuntu.

Now this is an interesting trend on in the technology sector. Bing partnering yahoo, facebook partnering bing, bing supposedly with apple who else is partnering ?
