Facebook the ever popular social networking site is loaded with lots of applications and an equally large number of users all around the globe. But as a direct result of this many applications as well Facebook in itself consumes a lot of bandwidth / loads slower and thus cause frustration to many when all they wanted to do was to chat.

To solve this problem, Facebook has created a work around in the form of Facebook lite, which loads considerably faster than the full version of face book. The Facebook lite can also be tweaked so that it is the default view whenever you want to visit it, thus eliminating the need for manually switching over every time it slows down.

To make Facebook switch over to Facebook lite, click on the setting icons and click again on the default category. Now you can customize what you will see when you login.
