Of late it seems to have become a tradition for Microsoft to give out updates to pre-RTM software’s. In this regard, after windows 7, now office 2010 also has received an update for the beta version.
The update is to improve the performance as well as the general stability of the office 2010 software. It is specifically targeted at Microsoft office word and outlook.
The update will seamlessly integrate with the beta v14.0. 4536.1000, but is not intended to work with the latest release, i.e the Release candidate.
The update will be for both the 32 bit and 64 bit editions of the office products, word and excel. Also this update will take care of the issue with outlook 2010 messages, where the email sent with outlook were automatically bloated due to addition extra junk elements in the HTML source. The update related article is office kb980028.
