Research In Motion (RIM) the maker of award winning BlackBerry smart phone has introduced a new browser for its smarphones and devices. The new browser will run on Webkit which is also used in apple's Safari browser.

The new BlackBerry browser based on Webkit will be faster to use and will easy to use. The new browser can handle AJAX, CSS and HTML5, the browser is enabled with features like pan, zoom and scroll through websites.

This move has been taken by RIM to improve its BlackBerry browser's image which it lost to tough competitors like Google Android, Palm's Web OS and apple's iPhone. This new browser has been designed by Torch Mobile a browser design firm for Research In Motion. It will be made available by this year.
