Google has recently entered into the wireless networking field. It has planned to make investments to serve 1 Gbps connection across selected cities in United States. The reason it says is that with better speed and connection people will be able to do more productive things using Google and other services. Similar to Android’s transformation to Nexus One, people began to enquire whether Google is into service provider market. Google has denied such result saying that it have no such plans for the nearest future.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt in his presentation in world mobile congress said we have no plans to compete with network operators. He assured that the investment in Wimax infrastructure and trials of Fiber to Home which can deliver 1 giga bit per second speed to each household are not a sign of it becoming a network operator itself.
