Internet frauds are yet using the latest tragedy namely the one regarding Haiti, for their benefit by redirecting the online searches for keywords relating to the disaster to their own phishing sites to get the users infected with malware which can then be used to steal sensitive personal data according to F-secure, the antivirus security company.

The malware sites are supposedly loaded with viruses which then be used to steal user’s banking information and the like to cheat them. According to another company suspicious links to such sites have increased by about 4 times since the last few days. Even FBI has warned users to beware of unknown email asking for donations. The frauds as usual want to make user of people’s tendency to help other to help themselves.
