    Default Saving photos on CD

It is better to have your digital photos saved on a CD along with a copy of prints. Photos on CD means you can have slide shoes share with friends and family and it costs less too. A normal CD can store atleast upto 400+ images.
CD are better way to make your photos safe if you store them on your computer. Computers and laptops are not the best place to store photos as they can get deleted, attacked by virus or lost in crash.
Burning photos on CD is really easy all you have to do is select photos you want to burn and click copy to CD from left sidebar. Click write files to Cd in cd writing tasks follow instructions on the cd writing wizard.

It is a good idea, but if the photo resolution is high then it will larger in size, and therefore you will only be able to save a certain number of photos onto a CD. It will also use up a lot of CDS, something which can be rewritable is always best. And since the time of your post there are other means of storing photos and this includes cloud storage.

Images on optical discs is good, but not a great idea. How many of your cd/dvds have been wasted by scratches? How many dvds have been lost to just poor quality media?
Currently, the best option is to get a cloud storage account, and save them on some server. Dropbox, photobucket, google picasa are good examples.

You could get 50GB free storage with dropbox by completing a couple of tasks which are very simple like installing dropbox on desktop, on laptop and your mobile phone and that got me 50GB of free storage for two years.
