Microsoft has announced a new initiative as a part of the Engineer’s Week. The company in collaboration with the IEEE organization has proposed that it will give its software for free to all the students who are a part of IEEE.

It also mentioned that in addition to free software it will also provide free training to the students and moreover it will also try to attract more students to join IEEE.

Usually such a program called as the MSDN Academic Alliance, which is paid (subscription) service is only provided to students who are a part of a selected university but now the service is being extended to the IEEE students. This gives them access to over 300 software’s from Microsoft. The initiative according to Microsoft will give students the tools to make their dreams into tomorrows innovative products.
