    Default Windows Double Explorer

There are many windows explorer replacement utilities which provide a host of features which are simply lacking in windows explorer for ages. However there are times when you like windows explorer or especially the extensions used with windows explorer.

Unfortunately these 3rd party utilities don’t support windows explorer shell extensions. An alternative to all such software is the freeware, Windows Double explorer. The name comes from the fact that it includes a double pane.

What differentiates windows double explorer from others is that it essentially integrates windows explorer inside its window, so you can still windows explorer with all its extensions and still have other features from 3 party utility. It also support having tabs. Apart from this you can also add your favorite folders to its toolbar by drag and drop method.

Can be downloaded and installed from Windows Double Explorer

probably useful for Windows 7 .and Vista users.

    Not working for XP Pro.
    try this for XP:

ExplorerXP is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non - commercial use) file manager for Windows 2000/XP. Unlike the regular Windows Explorer, it displays the total size of each folder and allows you to browse multiple folders from a tabbed interface
