The latest version of windows mobile software, the operating system of windows phone which use a cut down version of the windows used for PC’s has recently been upgraded to version v6.5.3 and will be first released along with the Sony Ericsson Aspen.
Going simply by the version numbers, it is just an minor upgrade. But it will be welcome change for those using the touch phones because of the extended support offered by the new OS which means multi-touch and finger-based touch navigation. This translates to a better usability and performance while using the touch interface.
In addition to that it includes support for capacitive touch screen, drag and drop icons to the start area, and better means to navigate. It features some minor changes like the tab being replaced by horizontal bars and updates to the run time environments for dot net compact framework, internet explorer, SQL compact edition.
