    Default Compress and decompress files in gzip, zip and more with 7zip

    Compressing files is a common task such as sending these via email itself or some other services. Sometimes the problem is we do not have programs to compress or decompress files. An alternative is to use Winzip, but the recommended option is to use this free program, able to compress gzip, plus zip, tar, bzip2, and 7z.

    7zip not only serves to compress files, but gives us all the benefits of similar programs, for among its features include the ability to define compression levels (normal, fast, high, ultra), the size of the word, partition of compressed files.

    You can also encrypt files and setting a key addition to selecting the encryption mode. Formats Supports 7z, ARJ, BZ2, BZIP2, CAB, CPIO, DEB, GZ, GZIP, ISO, LHA, LHZ, RAR, RPM, split, TAR, TAZ, tbz2, TGZ, TPZ, Z, ZIP.

    7zip has a somewhat simplified interface, which you can configure to your liking, either by adjusting the size of icons or position of the panels, set bookmarks, show or hide items in the toolbar, among others.

    The compressibility of 7zip is amazing and if it is only text files, such as a txt, the sizes have been reduced from 26 MB to less than 5MB, ie an excellent compression ratio.

    Do you know 7Zip is made by Igor Pavlov, who makes the torrents by name Skullptura.
