Google maps is undoubtedly one of the commonly used services from Google. It provides handy features like routes, time estimation in areas etc and of course not to mention that, like many other Google services, it is free to you, the end user.

One of the disadvantages though is that in spite of being useful it does not offer the ability to save them as images. Granted you could always print it, but it doesn’t give you the opportunity to make any changes or additions / markers that you may want to add to the map.
