Default Windows OS’s With lots of RAM has performance issues

Many versions of Microsoft windows, which use a lot of RAM, typically over 64 GB suffer from performance issues. Many people are bound to be surprised to note that such a problem even exist, but many OS’es like windows 2003, vista and even windows server 2008 also suffer from this issue.

Apparently the cause of actual problem is only a program which is a part of windows Internet Information services package. The program W3wp.exe, is the main cause of this issue , where the cpu usage shoots to 100%.

Apparently the problem is due to the fact that in one of the drivers, the maximum memory is specified to be as 64 GB, so when the memory exceed this amount there is a problem. Microsoft has developed a hotfix to resolve this problem.
