I got this error on my windows xp at startup ! Googled a bit from my friends pc took quite some time to fix this error.
Here is how I fixed it
I used recovery console on my windows CD
- insert windows CD
-On welcome to setup screen press R
-after that in the next screen press 1 and then enter
- It will ask you for password just press enter again
- type “ COPY G:\I386\NTLDR C:\” press enter, screen will show 1 file copied
Then type
COPY G:\I386\NTDETECT.COM C:\ and press enter (here G is the CD drive and C is the hard drive)
Now restart after removing the Cd.
This error is most probably because some files got deleted or computer cant boot from right place or if drive is corrupted. I was really in a lot of problem but this was easy not too much problem solved it without any professionals help .
