Post Why IE 8 is the most used browser

Internet explorer 8 is very popular and recently IE8 became the most used browser officially though there are better , faster and reliable browsers present. IE 8 commands a market share of 62%
IE8 is faster than IE7 though slower than chrome, but is a lot more competitive now.

On reliability and stability front IE8 scores well with multi tab and tab crashing looked upon well. Internet explorer also provides better privacy and security than any other browser . Other features like accelerators, web slices and advanced tabbed browsing is good too but it eats up on your memory slowing your system.

IE8 also suggests you some five similar sites, though this feature is not of very good help. All this along with the brand name Microsoft behind has helped IE8 become the most used browser after all it is better than IE7 . But most of market share for IE8 has also come from the IE upgrades.

I dont know why but I dislike using Internet Explorer now, especially after using Chrome. When I first started using the Internet it was the best browser but its fallen back now.

IE is not the most popular browser any more. Google's Chrome is.

IE used to be the best when there were no other browsers. But when browsers like Chrome, firefox came they won trillions of heart and thn IE walked in their shadow
IE 11 is fun to use.

IE was popular and possibly the only browser when I first started using the Internet which was something like 13 years ago. It is still standing and being used by people, so it is doing well.

IE is not my first choice for a browser but I do use it from time to time. Firefox used to be good do but it made browsing slow at this moment of time Chrome browser is the best.

Although I have other browsers installed I still use Internet Explorer majority of the time, it still had features which are better than Firefox.

The only extra feature I know of IE is that it shows webpage rankings, and unlike Firefox it triggers spelling mistakes which actually Chrome does as well.

Well, Internet Explorer is dead nowadays. Microsoft is betting all coins in Microsoft Edge. But, It needs some improvements.

In Contrast Firefox and Chrome, Microsoft's browser does not yet support extensions. The company has confirmed that the application must reach this year, but users need to be content only with the native browser functionality there.

Chrome has taken over every body followed by Firefox and opera. And for mobile devices opera is best.

Google Chrome is the best and most used, it is very user friendly and provide all you wants in a browser. Edge is not there and I am happy I downgrade from windows 10 to not have to see it anymore.

I don't go anywhere Internet Explorer. It's a dead browser and even Microsoft realizes this. Chrome and Firefox is where it's at as far as browsers are concerned. Perhaps, Edge will catch up one day, maybe it won't. The one cardinal rule that everyone seems to forget is that a company can't simply be good at everything. Even companies as big and successful like Microsoft have lost market share to competitors in so many different areas.

You are right, Microsoft Internet Explorer is a forgotten chapter. Nowadays people use mostly Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. I think Microsoft is also not keen in developing an all-rounder in Internet Explorer. They have diverted their attention in other fields like new version of OS, laptops, mobile etc. As better browsers like Chrome and Firefox are already available to the users, they may find it futile to put lot of efforts on a browser.

As you already mentioned, after all we can't expect a company to be perfect in all aspects. Windows is still the leader in computer OS.
