    Default Firefox 3.7 Alpha

As of now a second alpha version of the firefox 3.7 is expected soon. An alpha version is a development stage, where lot of new features are added to a product. The previous alpha was about 2 weeks back. The 2nd alpha is expected to present the improved version of the gecko engine which powers firefox, namely Gecko 1.9.3 a2.

The newer version of firefox is expected to have the feature to separate plug-ins from the main process, ie firefox.exe, to improve security as well as bring more stability to the browser. The feature called out of process plug-ins will be specially aimed at plug-ins like adobe flash which frequently crash firefox.

If the OOPP feature is implemented, then each of the plug-in will run as a separate process in the host computer and if it crashes, it would affect other plug-ins or the browser itself.
