Software giant Microsoft has finally silenced the critics by releasing a software update for the Zune media player that makes it compatible with the upcoming Windows Vista operating system.

Vista has already been released for the corporate customers of Microsoft and it would be launched for the general public later next month.

The launch of Zune player last month was a disappointment for many as it lacked support for the Vista test editions. Critics claimed that this was a proof that the company was launching Vista prematurely.

Microsoft responded by saying that the Zune player would be compatible with Vista before it is release for sale in the retail stores. And they have kept their promise.

The Microsoft Zune player ships with a 30 Gigabyte storage capacity and it is capable of playing music and video files.
