Spyware Doctor was till now, one of the most famous products of PC Tools. But with the price range being high for some users, it has had a bad time as far as the number of customers was concerned. But it seems that PC Tools is making some effort to get themselves up in the list of Internet Security Suites.

It's latest product, PC Tools Internet Security 2010 looks quite reasonably priced when compared to the full suites of Norton Internet Security and Kaspersky.

Pros

1.Quick installation (requires a reboot to function properly).
2.Relatively simple and easy to use user interface.
3.The performance seems to have improved quite a bit, and has a scope of hope.

Cons

1.When uninstalling, it keeps the desktop icons and registry keys and doesn't re-activate Windows Firewall.
2.The boot-up seems to be slowed down than the normal PC without any security suite installed. Eventhough this is expected, the excess time comparatively higher than the bigger counterparts.
3.The trial period is shorter than that of the other security suites, keeping it mostly only as a second choice.

As mentioned, though this version of PC Tools Internet Security 2010 shows some scope of hope, it has quite a long to climb to be atleast comparable to even to the free suites available in the internet. Avira's free security suite is quite a way better than the PC Tools Internet Security suite.

It is a good product. They organize give aways at times. The best time to grab it.
