Thread: Windows XP SP3

Microsoft has realeased the latest service pack SP3 for Windows XP.

Has anyone upgraded to Windows XP SP3? If yes, have you:

a) seen any performance improvement/degradation?
b) notice any UI or feature enhancements?
c) any other issue that got resolved or popped up?

Well i have not tried there latest version of Service Pack. I am presently using SP2 and i am also looking forward to SP 3 but before i do that i would like to know reviews about it.

I had been trying to download this latest SP from Microsoft site but i am not getting any good speed. I am getting around 2-3 kbps for this download as i am getting 30-32 kbps download speed for other downloads.

I installed SP3 a few days back. No problems so far - but I did not see any performance gains also. In any case, I think SP3 is a consolidated patch of all invidual updates that MS published since SP2.

i am also not getting any problem downloading service pack 3. if you are getting this problem a few days ago then i think this is because of the cable cut but you should be able to download it at the normal speed now.
