Yahoo Messenger is not connecting

| Junior Member |  Yahoo Messenger is not connecting I recently installed Yahoo Messenger vr.9. But it is not connecting to internet. I get an error message "sign-in problem". My operating system is Winows XP and I have BSNL broadband connection using Utstar DSL modem. Can I get any tips to overcome this problem? |

Rep Power: 3  | If you are behind a firewall or proxy you will not be able to login to your yahoo messenger, check about it. Meanwhile you can use your yahoo messenger inside the browser without any issues, but you canot send or receive files thru but can only chat Yahoo! Messenger for the Web |

Rep Power: 3 | try using yahoo web messenger or there are other messenger like gaim which can integrate with yahoo, hotmail etc all in one |
