for me kaspersky(Internet Security) is the best...... my system is not that fast but it boots up at a resonable time.... also kaspersky detects most of the virus and spyware(has both features)....

If u r talking bout Kaspersky, don't think bout going a pirate way... They have very secure way of chking for genuineness of license-key...(they don't provide cracks for their product like norton does ) U might get abundant fake keys who work for a while too... but after 1 or few more updates... ur key will be blacklisted... and the anti-virus will b unusable... resulting in unprotected & vulnerable system...

I got a 3 machine license key of 1 yr validity for Rs. 800 few months back... Ask your vendor... u might even get it for less...

    Remember :

    - Any single AV will not detect all Viruses / Trojans / Worms / Spywares etc..
    - Good AV will be free in limited manner (its their business after all)
    - Spywares / malwares come before AVs are programmed
    - All AVs need to be updated regularly (hence pirated has limitations)
    - With any AV, you will need to keep a check on Abnormal registry's happening in your system (that's the way you know you are being infected)

I am quite satisfied with Kaspersky and Avast which i use in combination with ThreatFire (the best to trace your system processes).

Its true....But when u install pirated version & use the keys...after updating the anti virus....u will get a message saying that the key is blacklisted.

Its better to buy a genuine one. I bought a 3 machine license key for 1 year validitiy for Rs 600 from ebay....

Is it advised to use 2 anti-virus in the same system ?

Actually I never tried Thretfire. But seeing the comparison of the two versions there isn't anything special in the paid version. Just some features people don't need. :stuart:

You won't know which Firewall/Antivirus is good unless you face a real problem/threat. Till then each one is perfect. :14:

EK Jact LEE !! I agree....
Every one who's used every AV has come across system deaths once.... That's the reason i suggested ThreatFire and any AV !!
At least you know what abnormal is happening in the system..
