Thread: Which Anti_virus is good?

Please tell me more abt ThreatFire.....
Is it an firewall or AV or AntiSpyware....
How many of you are using it....
Apart from an AV,is it required to have TreatFire....

Not many use that.. but i am sure of it coz i've used it and its a light Anti Mal/spyware.
I had 18 of my PCs infected 2 months back. Cud'nt find any AV to get thru. Mean while i found ThreatFire and installed it on all PCs. Atleast i cud detected/quarantine the corrupt and abnormal registries activating on system.
It is not at all necessary to have Threat F with AVs. its only precautionary.

I suppose the main reason to have such Prog on PC is that Viruses corrupt much before AV's are upgraded.

wat do u think about TREND MICRO ANTIVIRUS?
i have it installed on my system and it works gud 4 me..

I use avira antivir bcoz it has highest virus detection rates as compared 2 other softwares. ( proof : visit av-comparatives.org )

my antivirus preference, in proper order :

1> BitDefender 2008 - the best ever
2> Kaspersky
3> McAfee
4> Panda (titanium) - this one is resource hungry but extremely good
5> TrendMicro/Avast

one thing would be common if I prepare a list like u... There won't be any Norton for sure!

definitely, they stole the interface from BitDefender and released norton360 and claimed it to be a miracle. Well, I installed it updated it regularly and got infected ultimately. Lost so much data. Meanwhile my Norton360 had no idea of what was going on. They call it an antivirus !!!!!

I hate norton as much as vibes/you/archer hate microsoft.
