Microsoft is due to launch their first major overhaul to their operating system products in nearly 5 years with Windows Vista early next year. Vista has seen major delays and some of the most prominent feature additions have been dropped. Still, the company believes that corporate entities have a lot to look forward to in Windows Vista.
The company has said in a statement that there are at least 10 key reasons for partners to push Vista operating system to their SMB (Small to Medium-sized Business) customers.
Kevin Kutz, director of Windows Marketing Communications for Microsoft spoke about the three major areas where they have improved upon massively in Vista OS. These are: improved searching and organizing, enhanced security and advanced connectivity features.
He also highlighted 10 other key features of Vista including user account control, Internet Explorer running in protected mode, a full volume encryption feature called BitLocker, Windows Defender integrated spyware, and 400 new group policy objects which would enable the network administrators to setup customized user accounts.
