Software giants Microsoft have said that they are expecting to release the Vista operating system for business in November this year and the public release should be out by January next year.
However, this is still not certain as company’s chairman Bill Gates said in a conference that they are around 80% sure to make this latest deadline.
Windows Vista has already seen multitudes of delays and this release has become a critical one for the company as they face the growing challenge from online services, which is slowly replacing the need of having software products installed on the machines.
Market analysts have said that they are still not confident enough that Microsoft would be able to meet this deadline considering they would need more time to test out the stability fixes to get the software out in the market.
Vista was originally planned for launch last year but after a series of feature cuts to prevent more delays, we are now left with a January 2007 deadline.
