Microsoft releases latest round of patches for Excel and other applications Yesterday was Patch Tuesday for the software giants Microsoft and they released a couple of updates. The company has now fixed several bugs reported in their Office productivity suite especially MS Excel.
The security update release for the month of July included seven sets of patches. Four of these patches address bugs in the Windows operating system. The rest of the three are for the applications in the MS Office Suite.
Five of these security bugs were marked critical by the company, which means they can be used by writers of malicious codes to run unauthorized code on a victim’s PC. These seven patches would keep the network administrators around the world busy for a couple of days. Last month was bad as well for the company as they had released as many as a dozen security updates. |
