Default Symbian OS v9.3: Symbian upgrades their smart phone operating system

Symbian has launched the latest version of their smart phone operating system. This major update brings support for new wireless technologies and capabilities, which would help them to target the PDA’s running this OS at the mass markets around the world.

Symbian OS v9.3 is the latest update and it brings faster boot-up times and quicker response times for loaded applications.

This feature alone can make the PDA’s more worthy for the general consumers who find these devices hard to use and slow for their daily needs.

However, they have not revealed on what kind of speed improvements this new update would bring to the PDAs considering it relies upon many factors, which are unique to every product.

The newest version of the operating system would also make it easier for the developers to remove the components in the product in low cost products. Earlier it was tough to do so because a lot of components were dependent upon the other features of the software application.

Symbian OS v9.3 also brings in native support for Wi-Fi and UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access). It also adds support for the latest cellular data technology, HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access). This application would also now support push-to-talk services.
