Default Chinese software firm claims to have broken Skype protocol

A Chinese software firm is rumored to have broken the Skype’s protocol for VoIP. It can become a problem for Skype, as users might no longer require to download Skype application to use its network.

Skype has said in a statement that they are aware of these claims made by the Chinese company but they would need some proof to believe that it has been achieved.

Skype was recently acquired by ecommerce giant eBay for $2.6 billion in cash and stock and they are optimistic for growth from this sector.

The claims were made on the blog of Charles Paglee, chief executive of Vozin Communications. He had visuals of a friend of his in China calling his Skype account with software developed by the Chinese firm Hanzen Corp.

Not many details are available though, Paglee wrote on his blog that the software is due to make appearance in the market in August this year. Guys working at Skype would be very interested in this one we are sure.
