I'm starting this thread for people to make most from Google Searches... I hope this will help users to get quick and accurate results...
- There is an advanced search link you can use to narrow down words, dates and more... The link is in text and at the time of this writing, it is to the right of the search box... This can take longer, but can be very helpful if your looking for something very specific...
- A shortcut to using advanced search is to put your search words in "quotes"... Here is why; by simply typing in deadly black cobra Google will return websites with ALL of the words deadly, black OR cobra in them returning 112,000 websites at the time of this post... If you wanted information on deadly black cobra, you will need to shift through a lot of websites to find them... Now, by putting "deadly black cobra" in quotes it return websites with only the words deadly, black and cobra in a sentence... In this case it now returned only 202 websites... Fewer website hits, more accurate results... I have been using this trick since I can remember with other search engines as well, including Alta Vista, Yahoo, etc...
Those 2 tips will help you the majority of the time... Google looks so simple, just go there, type in your search and you r off, but Google is much more elaborate than that... When you have time, here is 1 link for you to check out that make Google not only more functional, but fun to use as well!!!
