Default Dream Cricket Team

Hi guys,
You might have done this before. But let’s do it on India Broadband forum. Which ever may be you favorite team but you can’t expect it to win all times. And then you think to make your own Cricket team and conquer the world. It’s the right time to do it here. Let’s make our own dream Cricket Team. I would suggest choose player which you have actually seen playing live, I mean not to choose old legends like Vivo Richards, Brad man, Sunil Gavaskar etc. This will be interesting for all levels. It will be a great fun. But wait here are some rules…

Rules:
• It will be ODI team
• Each team will consist of 11 players
• You can select a maximum of 6 Batsmen
• You can select a maximum of 5 Bowlers or all-rounder
• You must select one wicketkeeper.
• You can select the maximum of three players from each country.
• Give a cool name to your team.
More ideas are welcome.

Tip:
Pick a balanced squad of batsmen, bowler and wicketkeeper to make up your team.

Later on we’ll arrange a pole and find it out who got the best team among all of us. Rules while voting: Person can’t vote his own team and one person can vote only one team.

Best of Luck.

Here is my team:

Dragon’s Eleven
1. Sachin Tendulkar (Ind)
2. Sanath Jaysurya (SLA)
3. Brian Lara (W.I)
4. M. Dhoni (Ind)
5. Andrew Flintoff (Eng)
6. Andrew Symonds (Aus)
7. Jacque Kallis (S.A)
8. Shaun Pollock (S.A)
9. Wasim Akram (Pak)
10. M. Muralitharan (SLA)
11. Glen McGrath(Aus)

Can you beat it?

Waiting for yours…

Check out my team.

Master's Eleven
1. Sachin Tendulkar (IND)
2. Adam Gilchrist (AUS)
3. Steve Waugh (AUS)
4. Sanath Jayasurya (SLA)
5. Gautham Gambhir (IND)
5. M S Dhoni (IND)
6. Shaun Pollock (SA)
7. Shane Warne (AUS)
8. M. Muralitharan (SLA)
10. Brett Lee (AUS)
11. Anil Kumble (IND)

Oh! What a wonderful team!
Sorry, but you've been beaten Manish!

I would also like Nayan Mongia to be a member of the squad.
It was because of the rules that I didn't post his name.

Nice Team...Two thing I want to ask:
1) Why you've opted for 2 keeper and still want Nayan Mongia
2) Only 2 pace bowlers? What are you thinking

Not yet, let them all participate then we'll see

1) We all know that Gilchrist and Dhoni are not JUST WICKET KEEPERS. They are great batsmen who can come up with unique and blitzkrieg innings. So there was noneed to ask that question. I aslo preferred to have Nayan Mongia because he is one of the best keepers India has ever got (or maybe the best).
2) I knew at the time of posting itself that somebody would be asking this question. Just know that it is my style. Haven't you seen any captians doing so? I do have seen many of them, namely, Steve Waugh, Ganguly, Azharuddin, and maybe most of the captians of all cricket teams in the world. If you have a number of match winners in your side, why have greed for more.
