The Beijing Olympics gold medalist, Abhinav Bindra who had made our whole country proud visited Kerala for a day to attend a State reception arranged by the Govt. in honor of his achievements. He expressed his gratitude towards Kerala and said that he had always wanted to visit Kerala. He said that he was happy that he could visit Kerala and added that he had heard a lot about it from the National Coach Sunny Thomas.

Abhinav Bindra said that shooting should be encouraged as an important item in the school level itself so that India can mould a new generation who can make our country more proud. He is staying at the elegant Leela Kovalam and has a very busy schedule according to the newspaper reports. His parents also accompanied him in his visit and they are expected to stay here for some days.

Bindra had become so famous all over India that he received a very warm reception at the airport. Bindra expressed his hope that he would be able to help the young generation pull up a great effort to make India number one in the field of shooting. Let us all hope so.

He is planning to meet the Sports minister of the State, M Vijayakumar and he will also meet the Education Minister, M A Baby to have some discussions with them.

I know that many of you might be wondering how I am posting all these different things in one day, even though I am busy with other things. I would like to share how I am doing this. I will most probably writing an article about it soon.

Anyway, let me come back to the topic. Abhinav Bindra, who has made India proud is according to myself, a good person and has a very nice character just as all famous sportspersons have (not all of them have a good character).
