yes, Sachin don't need the any certificate from ICC and we all know ICC is always favor of Australia, England,New Zealand and South African team so don't expect from them

what the rankings actually reflected is how many points the players had when they were at their top most ranking.
when sachin was at the top of the rankings he had 849 batting points.when ponting was at the top,he had 900something points.so it just shows that,not players rankings...

Yeah... This list rank Batsmen according to the highest point they managed... It doesn't really reflect the consistency of a batsman throughout his career... One of the reason why Sachin isn't in the list is cuz India doesn't play as much tests as other countries...

Its just that test matches are a different class than one dayers. And while Tendulkar has been perhaps the greatest player at one point of time, what people does not accept is that he is human after all. And his career graph has long since taken the downhill turn. Now there are only flashes of briliance once in a while.
Judged purely on statictics, without the name involved, the same questions that were asked for Saurav Ganguly could be asked many times over for Tendulkar also. But once people start hero worshipping, all faults are conveniently forgotten.

lol... I never said Gavaskar should not be in top 20.... He deserves a place in top 10 too... Hez the best opener test cricket has ever seen... He was certainly better than Hayden whoz in top ten but Gavaskar is 10 places behind him at no. 20... Thats really a joke...

BTW, this thread is focusing on Sachin... If u want to talk about other players... U can start a thread related to them... We'll respond there as well...
