Default Crisis in English Cricket - KP and Coach Moores Step Down

    © Cricinfo

Kevin Pietersen has issued a statement saying he has stepped down as England captain with immediate effect as the England & Wales Cricket Board prepare for a press conference at the end of a dramatic day. Coach Peter Moores is also believed to have been relieved of his post while Andrew Strauss who was seen leaving Lord's along with the national selector, Geoff Miller, is now widely expected to step into the breach.

KP was forced to resign as he threatened to quit captaincy while England team was touring India... Obviously this didn't go down well with ECB bosses even if coach Moores was on the wrong foot... So, they sacked Moores immediately after the series... And asked KP to step down gracefully...

KP is just being punished for threatening to revolt...

Sachin can be compared only with Bradman! Hez a living legend...

That said... Dhoni is the best captain alongside Kapil for India so far(performance wise)... Both won us world cup...

dhoni is perhaps the best and most resourceful captain india has ever had.
but comparing world T20 with the 83 cup is bit of an overkill, dont u think?

not really... worldcup is a worldcup.... there were teams from around the world in 83 and in T20... Captaincy was of high standards in both tournaments... and the teams performed out of their skins under both captains!

no, not individual performance... I was talking about their performance as captains of their respective teams!

I don't know what dhoni did to ruin ganguly's career... but ganguly went away in style... I'm pleased that he retired while performing at his best for his team...

That can happen with the best... Even Bradman was out for a duck in his last innings!
