    Revenue and Profits: IPL Season 1

    The Indian Government earned Rs 91 crore as tax revenue from the 1st
    season of the IPL.

    Franchise Earnings
    The first season was a huge success for the IPL. It should be noted that during the first season no one had expected the franchises to break even since most of them had paid huge amounts to buy the clubs, but the table below shows that some of them are already profitable from Season 1

    This means that this year, most teams will make a loss.

    That seems to be fishy... May be after completing the IPL they go up in profit

    I dont think they will go under loss (any team) atleast they will make it up to 0-0 no profit no loss... but loss... i doubt it..!
