Roger Federer won the French Open after many unsuccessful attempts. He won it this year again Soldering in straight sets - 6-1, 7-6 (7-1), 6-4. In doing so he equalled Sampras' record of 14 Grand Slam titles.

Yes. There will be some critics who will say that Federer's victory is a bit hollow as he did not win it against the champion. But what the heck. A slam is slam and Federer did not ask Nadal to loose.

and at the end of the day, the people and the records only remember the winners and not what happened on the way.
may be Zico was better than Romario or Bebeto or Ronaldo, but he never did win that world cup.

Ah! Zico. You brought me memories of 1986 World Cup - Brazil vs. France. Zico missed a penalty during game time and Socrates in the penalty shoot out.

France spent their whole energy in defeating Brazil. They were just too exhausted in the next match and then Maradona was unstoppable in 1986.

actually my point was that there are very few who can realise their dreams. even legends like Zico, Platini or Gulit never did in football and Lendel in tennis.
So thats makes Federer's win all the more special.

YEAH last time i pissed wasnt that complete, it was just before the championship point so i just closed my zip anyway...
