Indian Hockey team has revolted by boycotting the world cup preparatory camp.
The players demanded that their unpaid dues and incentives be paid. Hockey may be the national game of India but it is yet to get its due with cricket taking it all. 2009 has been a disastrous year for Indian hockey as India slipped to 12th palce in ranking which is the lowest ever.

Hockey India Chief AK says that money seems more important to players than the pride of playing for the country. But well money is important how are the players going to live without money? The players have to be rewarded , they have put in efforts got selected how do you expect them to perform and win international tournaments with this kind of treatment and care

Media should take an initiative to save our national game and national pride. A new independent board should be set up on lines of BCCI, and there should be better marketing of the game

Hockey fails to get sponsors as cricket is the only sport where advertisers put their money. Players work hard train everyday and they do deserve payments, if government cant pay then we should abolish all sport authorities except cricket !

I guess its now time that all others from Indian sports get united and revolt too, Inefficient administrators Should go!!
