Sania Mirza plans to quit tennis after marriage

Sania Mirza india's most successful female tennis player revealed she will be quitting after marriage.

Sania who is engaged to Sohrab Mirza said that though her marriage is far away she intends not play after marriage. Sania is also the only female grand slam winner from India. She won the Australian open mixed doubles along with Mahesh Bhupati and is currently ranked at 57by ATP rankings

Sania’s father Imran mirza said that it was entirely sania’s decision to quit while she will have full freedom to play after marriage if she decides to.

Sohrab to whom sania is engaded to had said earlier that he would support her and it was entirely sania’s wish on how long she wants to play.

Sania’s decision to quit will be bad news to her fans , who is considered the face of Indian tennis

i heard about her that she is the best female player of tennis in india, i thought she have to carry one her carrier after her marriage, as we understand that marriage make person responsible but i thought have to take care of carrier too......

Zooni your fast at news, I only got to know that they had a relationship since its been in the news!

Personally I think its kind of a bad move to quit tennis after marriage, I think she has much more to go and can go to great heights! And seeing her husband will be travelling and in the sports field its easy for her to carry on, but then again thats her own decision!

She is not playing with burqa right now, is she? So why should marriage make it any different? And BTW, not all women in Pakistan wear a burqa and besides she is going to reside in Dubai.
