Sangakkara replaces Yuvi as captain

It is official now, after a lot of speculations Kumara Sangakkara will take over as the captain of IPL team Kings XI Punjab. Speculations have been ripe for couple weeks that Sangakkara will replace Yuvraj. Reason behind this being non co operation and bossy behaviour of Yuvraj towards the team management. Sangakkara claimed that Yuvraj is a good friend of mine and I took the decision after having a chat with him. Earlier it was reported that Sangakkara refused to accept the captain post citing his personal relationship with Yuvraj Singh.

The team management however maintain the stand that Yuvraj will remain as the ace player and his contribution is important for the success of the team. Even after removal as captain his stature in the team will remain the same said side's CEO Anil Srivatsa.
