Shahid Afridi is banned from two matches for tampering with the ball. It happened during the fifth and final match between Australia at Perth. He is banned from two twenty twenty matches even though the ball tampering issue occurred during an ODI. Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam confirmed the ban by match referee Ranjan Madugalle. There was a hearing after the direct complaint by field umpires Asoka De Silva and Paul Reiffe. Afridi was supposed to lead Pakistan due to an unfit Mohammed Yousuf.
