A day after Shahid Afridi said "Why do we hate India?" and then proceeded with numourous arguments on why Pakistanis should not hate India, Mr. Afridi did a volte-face and said "Indians do not have large hearts (like us Muslims). They have a single agenda to spread hate against us".
Come now, Mr. Afridi. It is time you pulled up your own socks and check the reality.
- If you consider the past 2000 years (before partition) and consider the India boundary from Hindukush/Suleiman moutains to modern day Burma, no Indian king has crossed this boundary to attack another nation.
- On the contrary, right from the days of Mahmud of Gazni, India has been ravaged since 700 AD.
- India has never attacked Pakistan; Pakistan has invaded Indian soil directly three times and indirectly once.
- Who said to carry a 1000 year war with India?
- Who sponsored the Sikh terrorism in India?
- Who is behind the Kashmir terrorists?
- Who invaded the Kargil sector quietly when India/Pakistan were involved in diplomatic peace talks?
- Who masterminded the attack on Indian parliament?
- Who is brainchild behind countless cowardly terrorist attacks on major Indian cities?
- Who was behind the Mumbai attacks?
... and there are countless other examples.
Are these media invented stories? Are these figments of our imagination?
If this is your "large heart", I shudder to think what your "narrow heart" is.
Friendship and trust is built over concrete positive actions. I am not against Pakistan or her people, but I am sorry to say that at this moment, I cannot trust your words. You want to show large hearts, then take these positive steps:
- Disband all terror training camps
- Stop all logistical, tactical, strategic and "moral" support to terrorists
- Arrest people who are wanted for terrorism
- Come forth and discuss issues on the diplomatic table
But alas! Now these are figments of my imagination.
