I still watch Test cricket and I think that in terms of quality it is the best. Where else can we watch a fascinating battle between bat and ball - for example Ishant Sharma vs Ricky Ponting?

Most people may find it boring but I am not one of them. Of course in the yesteryears, the opposing teams played out with the intention of "not to loose" at any cost and that made the IND-PAK serieses in the 80s very dull. Not any more - most teams nowadays play positively.

As far as 'Mendis' factor is concerned, he will have some element of surprise. But I think that Drvaid will be able to figure him out (provided he regains his form). But it just takes one good innings to get the confidence back.

Difficult to say - SL are formidable at home. I will go for a 1-0 SL win.

In my opinion Mendis wont play a big role this time around.. he will be under too much preassure to perform like he did earlier and that is just too bad for a bowler and its so easy to loose your line when you are under preassure.

I was really amazed to see the way Indian batsmen (who are called the best players of the spin) collapsed in front of Mendis and lost that final and the first test!

Now in the third test, he strikes again!!

Please revise the basics again, so called great batsmen!!

But I still feel that India is capable of winning the series. (I know it is more capable otherwise!)

    Still, hope for the best!

Well, we all were proven wrong. Series is lost 2-1. The one test that we won was due sheer brilliance from Viru and good help from Gambhir.

Mendis proved a match winner and broke the 61 year old record.

    Thumbs up

Hats off to Sri Lankans for a splendid performance. The FAB4 have once again proven that its time for them to quit gracefully. Frankly speaking I never expected Mendis could be such a huge threat. But he has proven the critics wrong, he is not a one-time wonder. In fact, if he is able to sustain his performance and fitness, he could well beat Murali in the list of wicket takers. Here's wishing him all the best. As for India, let's not talk about it, they are not worthy of a comment (except for Viru).
