Sourav Ganguly will a part of the Test team for Australia series but on one condition that he will quit from Test cricket after the tour. Sources told CNN-IBN that the series will be Ganguly's last who is likely to announce that he will retire after the series.

Team announced...Ganguly picked for 1st 2 tests.... may be 2nd test will b his last... selectors have provided him opportunity to retire gracefully... He deserves it...

As expected badrinath gets the chance... but I guess he'll play from 3rd test... surprised to see amit mishra(spinner) got the nod too... he played 3 ODIs in 2003 for India...

I can guess India can defeat Australia in this home series.Aussie pace men has nothing to do with Indian pitches and our spinners and batsmen will dominate the game.

Rohit Sharma was picked in the test squad against Sri Lanka, but wasn't given a single oppurtunity.
Now its Badrinath who has been picked in the squad...
Why wasn't Rohit Sharma persisted in the squad...
You just cant drop a player without giving him an oppurtunity....

    Then something stuck me...
When Rohit Sharma was selected in the squad....Vengsarkar was the Cheif Selector....Both are from Mumbai...

Now Badrinath is selected in the squad....Srikanth is the Cheif Selector....Both are from Chennai...

May be this is the reason.....Dunno I may also be wrong....

    Trivia:

Stuart Clark, the right-arm fast-medium Australian bowler is the son of Anglo-Indian parents, his father Bruce Clark who is from Madras (now Chennai) was a student at Christ Church Anglo-Indian High School, Madras, and his mother Mary Clark (nee Boosey) is from the Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka, India

Had Stuart Clark's parents hadn't moved to Australia....
He would have been playing for Team India...

When Sachin Bats... Its same for me even today... His masterful knocks in the 2 finals in VBSeries against Aussies early this year showed his class again...
Don't know if I will watch cricket when he retires...

Well, I watch cricket matches even now...
Only difference is I used to watch ball by ball test matches of all top 5-6 teams at few years back... And now I watch ball by ball test matches which involve only India...
I'll be busy in morning... The D-day has finally arrived....

Australia has batted really well.. Indian batting in 1st inning will decide the test now.... If they don't come good... They will lose it... Pressure will be on...

    Hussey: 146
Zaheer Khan: 5 for 91
    Ishant: 4 for 77

India need to bat well to force a result in this test match...

India should apply themselves now... And try to take lead... cuz bowlers did a good job in the end to restrict Aussies to 430....

I am not able to watch the match... cuz dish TV isn't airing Neo channels... :32:
