I again repeat, I have never deleted any thread till now.
I have deleted objectionable posts in some threads and that too by dubious members.
I merged a threads/posts but that also has been quite a few. I only merged them when I felt there were duplicates.
The forum rules state that "Do not post the same topic on several forums". I believe that I acted in the best interest.
As far as Preeti's thread is concerned, it is a mystery. Preeti, do you know the name/subject of your thread?

It was merged into another thread with similar title and discussion.

Alright weve found out what it was and it was a mysql injection done with great percision... the aim in my opinion was to take out the Airtel DTH section offline ...
Some one probbably didint like the traffic we have in that Airtel dth section : Direct to home, Satellite, Cable and iptv Check out how many people are viewing airtel dth section. Thats a lot of traffic and competetors dont like it although we donot track our competetors but not every one is like us.
We were also ranking no1 for the phrase "airtel dth channels" that was a thread I stated ... its now vanished although we still have that page showing at no 7-8 here airtel dth channels - Google Search
But that page is no more now so the rankings will keep dropping for this term and eventually that url will be deindexed as the page got deleted.
We have taken measures to avoid this thing from happening and also changes the ssh port for security besides a few more things.
So.... who is going to start new thread titled : Airtel DTH channels
in the Airtel DTH section
I will make sure it gets to no1 soon
its a catch 22 ... we cannot use a backup coz all the posts made after the backup will be lost in that case.
Preeti so can we please ask you to open that thread again

Hmmm... so it was a case of hacking... Thanks to Preeti... She raised the issue & brought it to Admin's notice... else more damage could have been done...Preeti, I awarded rep to u couple of days back only... So, its due till the system accepts another...
I will change the reps rules soon and instead of the green dots it would show the actual number... no present reps would be lost either
