Thread: Rules and regulations

I think mods and admin should have minimal interference in what goes on on the forum and should only intervene if some one complaints and a post.

I guess moderating should be kept restricted to spam only and everything else let the members decide what they want.

What do you guys say? I agree that the thread called deleted thread was going off topic, but who exactly was complaining? I did int complain

I am just suggesting that moderation should be kept as a tool to keep spammers and abusive language away from the forum and nothing else. If a thread is going off topic let the thread starter or members complain about it before the person concerned is warned or told to stay away.

PS: this is not a complaint, its a suggestion hence posting it here and not pming it.

I think thats how we really work right now and I think minimal interference or no interference is good and thats what I do.

If this is in reference to the thread titles deleted thread ... thats already opened now.

If there is anything specific please quote the incident and I would try not to repeat it again.... or give a logical explaination to justify the act.

I like freedom myself and believe that every one else does aswell and hence everyone here can also enjoy as much freedom as they like as long as they dont make others unhappy or create trouble.

I agree with preeti and I am saying this again that we never hijacked that thread, there are few basic things which i would like to say here

• Forum was under General Topics
• The purpose of forum was already done
• We never tried to attack anyone out there
• It was not a damage to repo of forum or anything similar to it
• That thread was just for the interest of regular members only who know about that Forum Deleted issue
• It was not a Tech thread which can provide any joy to any of our guest or visitor
• If we contribute even a grain to knowledgebase of forum then sometimes we can fool around and can laugh in a company
• If we will not make forum interactive then from where we will get regular members (please mind i am talking about regular members not members only)

there are lot many other things in list but i really don't want to discuss here.

Going slightly off topic is nt wrong i think .... it is one of the main reasons some new members keep coming back .... they like the camaraderie among the existing active members ...i believe

people come to our forum coz of big knowledgebase they get instant reply here which is not possible on all forums and instant reply comes up coz we got number of active members here who are always willing to offer help and that is something which is not a work of single individual

honestly trust me people come back due to intractive sessions which we make here and i ask all members please provide feedback

This is why we have this section if you dont like something >>> shout and if it is anything reasonable it will be done instantly.... and even if I think its not reasonable and you can gather enough support from other members I would still do it provided its legal to do it and is nothing immoral.

I personally do not like a lot of sections but this forum is not just for me so we have everything which majority asks for and this is how this forum will be run in future aswell.

yes admin even i don't like lot many things and lot many dead threads even i can not name them but the only think which i do is i do not participate in those threads thats it...

BTW: you can see in about 70%-75% of threads :lol:

Well, I agree with all of you...

I would like to say everybody has different objectives to join this forum... Some members come here who stick to only tech related sub-forums like whitestar_999, superprash2003 & essbebe...

There are some who come to visit only non-techie sub-forums, and there are some like Admin who spread their legs in every sub-forum...

so basically its a forum where people come to interact and help each other... and share their knowledge, humor, time, energy, etc... we should respect each member's basic objective... unless its intention is to harm the forum... like SEOBOT's objective was...
