    Exclamation Admin+ ???

    Hello,

I hope the senior/regular members might have noticed this kind of users like Admin+, xyz+, abcd+ like that. I mean a plus symbol after the user name in the 'currently active users' part. Can someone explain how come that plus symbol after the user name?

    Thanks,
    Pothi.

All those are in your friends list will have a + sign along with their id. If you break the friendship that + sign will go away aswell.

As I have you in my friends list your id shows up with + to me and is Pothi+ and as you have me in your friends list you would see my id as Admin+

Go to the home page http://www.indiabroadband.net

Scroll down right to the bottom of the page

There is a box on top of that it says
    What's Going On?

Underneath that there is a list of members online right now and in that online members list all those are in your contact list as in friends list will have a + sign along side their id.

Oh! I had meant to ask the same question. I had initially assumed that if your have multiple windows/connections to forum open, you got a '+' sign (and I was wondering why I didn't get one myself). This explanation clears the question.

Reputations is the number of reputations (repo points) received within the time period.

Reputation level: I am not sure how it is calculated. Each point adds to the level. After getting certain repo points some bonus points are given. The figure in this column is the reputation level increment for the week.

For example, I have 39 reputation points and my reputation level is 87. You have 11 repo points and your reputation level is 30.

You can check it in User Control Panel (USERCP). The first icon in the top side of the page.

    HTML Code:

If you click on the 'repo' icon of any of your own post you will get the current level.

Well the purpose of this thread is already over right. So what is the harm.

BTW. If you think its a bug you can post the problem.

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/sugges...-problems.html

Or you can report that thread to Admin or J4X via PM.

There is a problem if a thread goes off topic. Even if the thread is part of the "offtopic" forum, it still has a topic. Posts in the thread should alsways stick to the topic. These are the forum rules.

    The reasoning is as follows.

The main thread deals with a topic, typically an issue. Someone in the middle posts, "hey, by the way, I also have this problem". This diverts the attention from the main topic. The new issue raised could be faced by many other people. Now the subject of this thread is totally different; so there is no inkling that a particular thread contains another issue also.

Some people are shy of reporting an issue or asking a question. And they may never get an answer because the answer to their issue is hidden in some other thread.

Also someone who is capable of answering may not look into the thread at all.

Yeah Sorry! You are right. I didn't thought of that.
I thought like too many threads will be bad.

In fact, quite the opposite. The more the number of distinct thread topics, the better it is.

We all hate duplicate threads. In the same way, threads containing multiple topics must be avoided.

So go ahead (make my day). Create as many threads as you like. Just make sure that there are no duplicates.
