Thread: Pop up message: Broadband How to

Many of the new members post queries for which the solution is available in Broadband How to section. I dunno how many of the new comers visit this section before posting their queries. I have seen in other forum where the new comers (new members) are made to view a thread first before going to the forum index,they get a pop up message something like the one below..

How about having this pop up in our forum,where the new members are first made to visit the Broadband How to section before going to the forum index.

i ll say its a good idea to give the pop up message, but let them have a choice of "yes or no" to choose whether to read it or not, cause most wont bother anyways.

Its good idea actually... the time they sign-up they can be redirected to Broadband How To Page...

yes this is really good idea and that can save time of new comers in posting thread and to wait for reply

Yeah....Do you have any other suggestion to improve on this idea....

i have tons of ideas , but i dont know the technical limitations of vbullitin

so i ll not try n make a fool of my self

any way , ur idea was nice, but it it would be better if the redirection is filtered with some options.

yes this should be for first login only as it will be annoying for new members it will keep on coming again n again

I think instead of pop-up... they should be redirected to that section's page... at the time of sign up... This will make sure that they go there atleast once... and no pop-up blocker will be able to stop them from landing there....

ya this is another better option to redirect, as it ensures that new member is atleast looking at that page
