oh i misunderstood actually. Its because that buddy rizwan,made many threads for same problem.and i told him not to do this.ok its ok now understood.i take little time to understand everything and thats not good.

could be a problem with ur browser, u didn't have this prob earlier, did u ?

If you use a mobile phone for posting you will get this message saying this is a duplicate post but the post will be posted any way and you get redirected to the post youve just posted..

Its a known bug and there is no way out for it untill we upgrade our script to the latest one which has been released today. We wont be able to upgrade atleast for a month or so as we use a few mods and they are not available for the new version.

Appologies for the inconveniance. You can just ignore that message as it doesnt really mean much as your posts will come up fine.

I think i must not use kmeleon now. FF as every buddy said its not mobile which gives this bug.its the browser.ok thanks for this info.by the way my phone is N72.

Is there any desktop software by which I can automatically backup certain threads of our forum at particular intervals ?

Backups for our forum are taken every 24 hours to a hard drive we have on the server and that backup is copied to an account I have for offsite backup facility every 24 hours again and I download these backups every day onto my desktop once every 24 hours...

If you want to get updates for a particular thread then you just have to subscribe to the rss feed of that thread for example as you read this post your browser's address bas should have this rss icon


Click on it and you can subscribe to that particular thread.

We have seperate rss feeds for every subforum and every single thread as well an you can get updates without having to come to the site.

Most members as I can see from the stats use google reader using igoogle and a lot of them use other feed readers to subscribe.

If I was not clear enough in explaining what I just tried to explain please shout I will try and rephrase it.

Forgot to mention that the backups I download on my desktop are never deleted ie not overwritten so in case of an "F" up we have something to go back to
